Graduate Program

The Department of Education, Skills and Employment is responsible for maximising opportunity and prosperity through national leadership on education, training and employment policy to contribute to an inclusive and productive Australia.

The Department offers a 10 month graduate program. Over the course of the program, graduates have two placements in a range of work areas which provides opportunities to work on a variety of programs and policies developed and implemented by the department as well as opportunities to be involved in a wide range of networks, social and fundraising events.

These experiences provide graduates with an opportunity to learn and grow while being supported and encouraged by employees at all levels. The Program is the first step for graduates to build a successful career and gives graduates the opportunity to develop both personally and professionally and contribute to creating opportunities for Australians and supporting economic growth.
