About the Child Care Package

The Child Care Package is helping parents and carers who want to work or who want to work more, while making early childhood education and care more affordable and accessible.

For providers, the Package allows you to:

  • Have more flexibility
  • Set your hours of operation based on the needs of your community
  • Operate for a minimum of 48 weeks per year
  • Operate 7 weeks per year if outside school hours care is the only service offered
