The National Quality Framework includes two approved learning frameworks that support and promote children’s learning.

Birth to five years
Belonging, Being & Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework is a guide to supporting and nurturing children’s learning from birth to 5 years, including the transition to school.

The frameworks were developed by the Australian Government in consultation with:
- state and territory governments
- the early childhood education and care sector
- academics.
Services are encouraged to develop their own strategies to meet the framework’s objectives.
