Expression of interest for non-university higher education providers short courses funding

As part of the Australian Government’s Higher Education Relief Package announced on 12 April 2020, the Department of Education, Skills and Employment sought expressions of interest (EOI) from non‑university higher education providers (NUHEPs) to deliver short online courses to new students to study for six months from May to December 2020.

The cost of these courses is being discounted considerably to support retraining and upskilling for Australian workers recently displaced by the COVID 19 crisis.

NUHEPs that are existing FEE-HELP providers were invited to apply for an allocation of Commonwealth supported places (CSPs) to deliver short online Undergraduate and Graduate Certificates  of six months duration (0.5 Equivalent Full Time Study Load - EFTSL) in fields of national priority at Australian Qualification Levels (AQF) level 5 (Diploma) through to 9 (Masters Degree). The fields of national priority, student contribution rates and CGS subsidies are detailed at Table 1.
