Search online jobs boards

A jobs board is a website used by employers to advertise their job vacancies. Some jobs boards are focussed on jobs in a specific industry or location, while others are general and include jobs in a range of industries and locations. They may also provide information on how to write a résumé and give interview tips and career advice.

This page provides you with a selection of free online Australian jobs boards to help you find job opportunities. Explore jobs boards by clicking the links below for general jobs boards, state and regional jobs boards, industry-specific jobs boards or apprenticeship and traineeship jobs boards.

Tips on using jobs boards

It’s useful to know that jobs boards are maintained by a range of different organisations and tailored to specific job search needs. For example:

  • The jobsearch jobs board is run by the Australian Government and includes jobs listed directly on the site as well as those listed on a range of other jobs boards.

  • Apprenticeships and traineeships are often offered through Group Training Organisations (GTOs), who employ apprentices and trainees directly and then place them with host employers. Many GTOs maintain their own jobs boards that advertise apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities. To find GTOs in your area, visit australianapprenticeships.gov.au/group-training.

  • Recruitment agencies also offer their own jobs boards. It is important to note, however, that recruitment agencies are not required to find you a job. It is therefore important that you do your own research before signing up with a recruitment agency to ensure it is the right option for you. To search for a recruitment agency near you, visit the Recruitment, Consulting and Staffing Association’s website.

  • Some jobs boards require you to provide personal information to use their service. It is important for you to understand how to protect your personal information, be familiar with known jobs and employment scams and review the website privacy policy and security settings to ensure you stay safe. We are not responsible for the content and privacy practices of other websites.
