More than 700 applications were successful under the latest round of the Community Child Care Fund (CCCF) Open Competitive Grant.

The Australian Government today announced more than $100 million will go to 385 child care providers across all states and territories.

The grant gives eligible child care services funding to help them stay open and increase the number of children from disadvantaged or vulnerable families and communities in care.

We received 1194 applications from 962 child care services under Round 3 of the grant.

A total of 716 applications were successful:

  • 511 applicants will receive sustainability support to help services remain viable and sustainable.
  • 180 applicants will receive community support to identify and address community-level barriers to child care participation so more children can attend child care.
  • 25 applicants will receive capital support to contribute to the cost of modifying, renovating, extending or building child care facilities that results in more child care places where there is unmet demand.

Funding will be allocated across three financial years, from 2021 to 2024.
