Productivity Commission inquiry
In November 2013, the Australian Government asked the Productivity Commission to undertake an inquiry into Child Care and Early Childhood Learning. The inquiry examined:
- The state of early learning and child care
- How to better support children’s learning needs
- How to better support parents’ workforce participation

In 2015, families took part in research as the Australian Government considered policy reform to child care:
