CTA is one of the key measures in the Australian Government’s $110 million Mature Age Employment package announced in the 2017-18 Federal Budget.
On this page:
The CTA Trial programme is for Participants aged 50 years and older. The trial is to help mature age job seekers be competitive in the job market, increase awareness of labour market changes, and to translate their transferable skills to meet the requirements of potential Employers.
The Department of Jobs and Small Businesses conducted research that identified two key factors which Employers believe mature age job seekers need to address to improve their employment prospects. The first is ensuring that their skills are up-to-date and the second is the need to improve their basic computer and technology skills.
CTA is being trialled in five CTA Trial Regions:
- Ballarat, Victoria
- Somerset, Queensland
- Central West, New South Wales
- Adelaide South, South Australia, and
- Perth North, Western Australia.
Applications closed on Monday 19 February 2018 at 12.00 noon (Canberra time).
