The Department of Education, Skills and Employment (the department) sought submissions from organisations and individuals interested in delivering Employment Facilitator and Support Services for the Local Jobs Program in 14 of the selected 25 Employment Regions across Australia.

On 1 September 2020 the Australian Government, as part of the economic response to COVID-19, announced the $62.8 million Local Jobs Program (LJP) in 25 Employment Regions. Further detail regarding the LJP and participating Employment Regions is available at the Local Jobs program page.
The Employment Facilitators selected through this RFT will be a full-time resource tasked with bringing together the people, services and resources that are needed in each Employment Region to create and respond rapidly to the labour needs of local employers.
The Employment Facilitator will support the delivery of the Local Jobs Program and be responsible for liaising with the wider community to connect job seekers, especially those affected by COVID-19, with current and future employment. Employment Facilitators will Chair, and work with the Local Jobs and Skills Taskforces in their region to development a Local Jobs Plan. The Employment Facilitators and Taskforce will work with local stakeholders to drive the implementation of the Local Jobs Plan.
Local Job Program (LJP) Support Officers
The LJP Support Officer will be a dedicated full-time resource engaged to support the Facilitator to deliver the LJP and provide secretariat services to the Taskforce.
