Local Recovery Funds
A Local Recovery Fund is available in the North West Country region for projects that meet the priorities identified in the Local Jobs Plan.
Projects will be identified for funding through periodic Request for Proposals (RFP).
Please contact your local Employment Facilitator for information about the Local Recovery Fund and to discuss project proposals.

|Industry Advisory Network Project||Max Crane & Equipment Hire SA||Workskil||The Activity involves engagement with key employers, employment services providers and training organisations in the North West Country Employment Region to create an industry network, map the recruitment and skills needs of employers from different industry sectors and identify opportunities to skill job seekers to meet local employer demand.|
|Careers in Local Jobs||Career Co Australia||Workskil||This activity will promote local job opportunities to local job seekers in the North West Country region and will provide access to employment information, pathways and training through the expansion of the Upper Spencer Gulf Jobs local online platform. Under the project, Careers in Local Jobs Expos will be held in Port Augusta and Whyalla, bringing together employers and job seekers to network and explore employment opportunities in the region, as well as industry focussed group sessions.|
|Jobs4Locals||Career Employment Group Incorporated||Workskil Australia||This activity will support job seekers from North West Country to participate in a personal development and life skills program individualised to participant need and industry specific pre-employment training across three industry sectors.|
|Strong Women for Work||Kornar Winmil Yunti (KWY) Aboriginal Corporation||Workskil Australia||This activity will engage unemployed Indigenous women in North West Country SA in a program focussing on addressing non-vocational barriers to employment, planning tailored pathways to training or employment opportunities.|
|Open Roads Project||Civil Contractors Federation South Australia Ltd||Workskil Australia||This activity will support 16 Indigenous and/or ex-offending jobseekers to participate in a 4-week accredited traffic management and non-accredited work ready skills training. On completion 12 participants will be employed and mentored by Prime Traffic Solutions.|
|The Working Mind||Positive Future Self||Workskil||This activity is a pilot project to support 16 long term unemployed job seekers to address barriers to gaining employment, build resilience, and develop job-ready mind-sets using psychological assessments and education.|
