Local Recovery Funds
A Local Recovery Fund is available in the North Western Melbourne region for projects that meet the priorities identified in the Local Jobs Plan.
Projects will be identified for funding through periodic Request for Proposals (RFP).
Please contact your local Employment Facilitator for information about the Local Recovery Fund and to discuss project proposals.

The activity involves foundation skills training, coaching, skills development workshops and industry immersion opportunities and will target 25 culturally and linguistically diverse youth (15 to 24 years). Participants will be partnered with a corporate mentor to build self-confidence and assist developing an understanding of workplace culture, career pathways and barriers to employment. |
Refer In Program | Civil Training Australia | Job Prospects | This activity involves recruiting, preparing, and supporting up to 180 job seekers in the North Western Melbourne Employment Region into employment within the warehousing and construction sectors. This activity, run by Civil Training Australia (Vic), includes the delivery of micro-credential training aligned to job role requirements, as well as the facilitation of job placements. |
Pathways to Digital Health – Supporting Telehealth Delivery | Melbourne Polytechnic | Jobfind Centres Australia Pty Ltd | The activity will provide 50 participants with the skills required to administer, coordinate, monitor and support the provision of telehealth services delivered by health professionals. The activity has been designed to meet employer skill requirements for the growing demand for telehealth services in response to local community care needs and includes the delivery of accredited units tailored to employer needs. Participants will be provided with mentoring support and career guidance, including facilitated connections to job opportunities. |
Banksia Gardens Job Connect Program | Banksia Gardens Association Incorporated | Job Prospects | The activity involves an intensive support model to build upon participant’s employability skills and facilitate employment outcomes for residents in the vicinity of Banksia Gardens Community Services in Broadmeadows. Specialist Job Support Coaches will assist 40 to 60 job seekers from priority cohorts to develop short-term and intermediate steps towards the achievement of employment outcomes. |
Locals Working Together program | Council on the Ageing | Workskil Australia | The activity involves the delivery of a pre-vocational and work readiness training program for 25 mature age participants.
The activity will build upon the essential prerequisite skills necessary for employment within the Health and Community sector and includes employment skills training, mentor coaching, access to employers and post placement support. The activity aims to support 19 participants into paid employment or vocational training upon completion of training. |
#JobsFirst | Central Ranges Local Learning and Employment Network Inc. | CoAct | This activity aims to engage 120 post-secondary school youth, delivering skills development, including micro-credential training aligned to local employer and industry needs and deliver a real-time jobs portal to develop a local talent pool and list local vacancies. The activity will engage with 50 employers and generate 40 employment outcomes. |
