Local Recovery Funds
A Local Recovery Fund is available in the Western Melbourne region for projects that meet the priorities identified in the Local Jobs Plan.
Projects will be identified for funding through periodic Request for Proposals (RFP).
Please contact your local Employment Facilitator for information about the Local Recovery Fund and to discuss project proposals.

The activity is run by Djerriwarrh Employment & Education Services in Western Melbourne. |
Supporting Retail Recovery in Wyndham | Wyndham Community & Education Centre Inc | Job Prospects | This activity involves the delivery of job readiness and pre-employment training, as well as mentoring support, leading to 50 job placements in the Retail and Hospitality sectors. The activity is run by Wyndham Community & Education Centre Inc. |
The PowerUp Program | Inspire Platform Pty Ltd | AMES Australia | This activity involves the delivery of resilience and employability skills training to 50 participants to build their capacity in securing and maintaining employment. The activity also provides support for participants to attain driving licenses as well as microfinancing information and supports. This includes assistance to acquire a vehicle, and aims to provide participants with long-term personalised transport solutions to support sustained employment outcomes. Additionally, the activity includes facilitated job placements in the cleaning sector in response to the increased demand for services driven by COVID-19. |
Moorabool Jobs Program | Laurels Education and Training Inc | Matchworks | The activity involves the delivery of intensive pre-employment training, mentoring and work experience placements to 25 participants. The activity also includes a Careers Expo which aims to connect participants with employers and showcase local employment opportunities. The activity will target youth, female, culturally and linguistically diverse, refugee and Indigenous participants and aims to facilitate 20 job placements. |
Disability Support Worker Activity | Generation Australia Ltd | Job Prospects | The activity involves delivery of a 7-week online training course to prepare 40 participants for entry-level roles in the disability care sector. The activity will be co-designed with local disability care employers and include mentoring and career coaching to assist participants transition into employment. The activity will target youth, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD), refugee, Indigenous, mature-age and female cohorts |
