Additional funding for Early Childhood Education and Care Relief Package

The Government has responded to the Four Week Review of the Early Childhood Education and Care Relief Package by making some adjustments to the Relief Package to better support services to keep their businesses viable, and continue to provide care to children of essential workers, and vulnerable and disadvantaged children.

Minister for Education, the Hon Dan Tehan MP announced an additional $12.8 million in funding for the Relief Package with:

  1. $12 million to go to child care services with 30% or more of full-time equivalent staff ineligible for JobKeeper Payments.
  2. $800,000 to increase the level of funding for In Home Care providers, noting they provide education and care predominantly to essential workers and vulnerable children.
