Glenda changed her story with the help of Career Transition Assistance

CTA opened a world of opportunities for Glenda and helped her land a great job.

Glenda had been working in hospitality for more than 10 years. She wanted a career in a different industry but didn’t know where to start and wasn’t sure how to use her previous experience to find another job.

All that changed after she enrolled in Career Transition Assistance (CTA) with her local CTA Provider – the Enterprise and Training Company.

Through the eight-week CTA course, the facilitators helped Glenda improve her digital literacy skills such as using computers, tablets and smart phones. She built confidence, set career goals, improved her job search skills, and learned how to tailor her resume and apply for jobs online.

“Things have changed, everything is online now, that wasn’t our generation. The CTA course enlightened us all of where we needed to go,” Glenda said.

With improved skills and confidence Glenda found a new role as a customer service representative in a call centre.

“I now spend my days calling people who have pledged donations to charities. My office has views over the high-rise buildings and the beach,” she said.

The CTA facilitators specialise in delivering training for adults and, according to Glenda, it’s a great environment for learning.

“Learn more about yourself through the CTA program. I highly recommend it. It was such a positive vibe and was a joy, I couldn’t wait to get there,” Glenda said.
Now is the time to ‘Change Your Story’.
