Schools, teachers, parents, employers and career educators can now freely access resources to help secondary students make informed decisions about their future careers and study options.
The schooltowork website brings together a range of innovative career education resources, providing high quality, evidence-based career development information.
The resources, available on a dedicated schooltowork website, were developed as part of Future Ready: A student focused National Career Education Strategy to ensure all school students have access to high quality career education that is student centred and tailored to their needs, highlighting the benefits of VET or higher education pathways.
Recognising that most young people will have several careers during their working life, the Future Ready resources support the important influencers of young people to help them make decisions about the diverse training and education pathways available after finishing school.
These innovative career education resources were developed in partnership with state and territory education departments, business and industry, and career education groups. Resources include toolkits to support school and industry partnerships, articles for parents to have career conversations about post-school studies and apprenticeships and examples of transition programs supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
