The Australian VET Alumni portal, available through MySkills.gov.au, is providing a platform to highlight the inspirational professional journeys of the best and brightest in VET.
The Australian VET Alumni is a national community of graduates, registered training organisations, practitioners and businesses dedicated to sharing their VET journey with Australians to encourage greater participation and best practice in VET.
Being part of the Alumni facilitates the building of meaningful connections, sharing of ideas and forming professional networks.
The new portal is giving Alumni a platform to tell their VET story and inspire others to achieve their goals through VET.
Some of the stories you can read about include –

“(With VET) you can pick any trade you want, you’ll be paid while you learn and if you don’t like it you can change to something else… What you will have is real-life experience and mastery of the skill of your choice.

The portal also equips Alumni with information and resources to help them undertake their role as leaders in the VET system.
Members of the public can search for Alumni in particular areas, within an industry or by qualification and request bookings for Alumni to attend events, such as careers fairs, industry forums and school presentations.
