All Participants should have an accurate Assessment so they can be referred to and receive the Employment Services most appropriate to their needs to help them move from welfare to work. The Job Seeker Classification Instrument (JSCI) questionnair
The Employment Fund General Account (Employment Fund) is a flexible pool of funds available to all jobactive providers (Providers) to offer support tailored to the needs of participants, employers and the local labour market.
Participants may transfer between Providers for a range of reasons. Transfers can be automatic or involve a manual process, and can be initiated by the Participant or a Provider.
This Guideline outlines who is Eligible for jobactive Services and arrangements for Participants to be Referred and Commenced in an appropriate Stream.
Participants generally have Mutual Obligation Requirements, such as looking for work and participating in Activities that will improve their employment prospects, in return for receiving taxpayer-funded income support paid by Services Australia.
Work for the Dole is designed to help job seekers gain the skills, experience and confidence needed to move from welfare to work as soon as possible.
Individuals may seek to participate in jobactive Services, New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) and related services without going to Services Australia.
Some people who are not Fully Eligible for jobactive services can Volunteer to receive employment assistance.
This Guideline advises providers of their responsibilities to Disability Support Pension (DSP) recipients under 35 years of age who have an assessed work capacity of at least eight hours per week and do not have a child under six years).
The National Work Experience Programme (NWEP) provides eligible job seekers with the opportunity to undertake real life work experience placements.
Maximum Time Transfers ensure job seekers who have been with the same provider for an extended period without achieving an Employment Outcome or an HTS jobactive Outcome are transferred to a new provider.
Period of Service is the time Participants spend in Online Employment Services (OES) and in jobactive. It identifies when they must participate in activities and determines the services providers must deliver.
