Why did it move?

On 1 June 2022, the Governor-General, acting on advice of the Federal Executive Council, made an Administrative Arrangements Order to commence on 1 July 2022.

The orders state that the Department of Education, Skills and Employment will become the Department of Education and a new entity will be created, the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.

New websites have been created for the Department of Education and the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations. The Department of Education, Skills and Employment website will be decommissioned.
