As part of Workforce Australia, Workforce Specialists will deliver projects to meet the workforce needs of identified industries and occupations, connecting them to eligible individuals in Workforce Australia Services, Workforce Australia Online and Workforce Australia – Transition to Work
The department developed the first iteration of the Workforce Connections: Workforce Specialist Project Framework (the Framework) to identify industries and occupations with significant labour market opportunities for individuals to inform the delivery of Workforce Specialist Projects.
The department undertook a consultation process with interested parties including representatives from industry, employers, state and territory governments and other Australian Government departments to inform development of the first Framework (formerly known as the Workforce Connections Plan during the consultation process).
In early to mid-September 2021 the department held webinars with industry stakeholders to facilitate consultation on the Framework.
Recordings and transcripts for these webinars and the accompanying presentations are provided below.
Workforce Specialists Webinar held on 7 September 2021
Workforce Specialists Webinar held on 9 September 2021
A feedback survey was available throughout September 2021.
The survey sought feedback on which industries and occupations with labour market opportunities for individuals should be a priority for Workforce Specialist Projects and why.
The survey closed on 30 September 2021.
Feedback provided through the survey was used to inform the development of the Framework.
